Editorial policy
Clear observations, careful explanations.
We distinguish observation from explanation
An observation might be: “Foundation looks darker after it has been on the skin for a while.” The explanation is more limited: several factors may contribute. We do not turn a visible result into an unsupported chemical explanation.
Product labels are not universal technical standards
Terms such as skin tint, lip oil, BB cream, CC cream, and serum foundation can be used differently by different brands. We explain typical usage while acknowledging that actual product characteristics vary.
What needs stronger support
We use can, may, and often rather than beauty absolutes. Safety, hygiene, contamination, allergy, regulatory, and health-related content requires authoritative support; this site defers those topics rather than guessing.
